F.A.Q.

Are vaccinations required for my dog?

Yes, we require that all dogs be vaccinated against rabies and distemper. These vaccinations are essential to protect not only your dog but also other dogs they may come in contact with. Additionally, we recommend a flea and tick prevention program during the months of April through November.

Do I need to bring my dogs bed?

Feel free to bring your own bed for your furry friend, but please note that we provide orthopedic beds for all our suites, regardless of your pup’s size.

Why are rabies and distemper vaccinations required?

Rabies is a serious disease that can be fatal to both dogs and humans. Vaccinating your dog against rabies not only protects them from the disease but also helps prevent the spread of the virus to other animals and people. Distemper is another serious disease that can be prevented through vaccination. It can cause respiratory and neurological problems in dogs and is highly contagious.

What else do I need to bring for my dog’s boarding vacation?

To avoid any discomfort or digestive issues for your dog during their boarding experience, we kindly request that you provide their own food. However, if you’re unable to bring their food, simply let us know the brand they prefer and we’ll be happy to pick it up for you. In the event that your pup has no issues with changing their food, we’re happy to provide our own food for them.

When should my dog receive their vaccinations?

It is recommended that puppies receive their first round of vaccinations between 6-8 weeks of age and continue to receive booster shots until they are fully vaccinated at around 16 weeks of age. After that, dogs should receive regular booster shots to maintain immunity.

Does the dog have to be a certain age?

For safety reasons, we require that your pup be at least 3 months old and have received its second set of puppy vaccinations before being accepted.
